Nutrition and Dietetics AS-T Degree
The Associate in Science in Nutrition and Dietetics for Transfer, also called the Nutrition and Dietetics AS-T Degree, introduces students to the principles and methodologies used in the study of nutrition and dietetics. Students will acquire the foundational knowledge necessary to pursue post-secondary degrees in nutrition and dietetics. To earn an AS-T in Nutrition and Dietetics degree, a student must complete 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University (CSU) system that include completion of California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC) and 27-35 units in the major. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 in all CSU-transferable coursework to receive an associate degree for transfer and all courses in the major must be completed with a C (or "P") or better.
Students earning this AS-T degree will not be required to complete any other local graduation requirements. Students transferring to a CSU campus that accepts the AS-T will be required to complete no more than 60 units after transfer to earn a bachelor’s degree (unless the major is a designated “high-unit” major). Students should consult with a counselor when planning to complete the degree for more information on university admission and transfer requirements.
