Non-Graduates of High School
The Adult Basic Education (ABE) program at College of the Desert helps adults finish high school and take the next step toward their goals. As you complete ABE courses, you earn credits toward your high school diploma and build skills for work, college, and everyday life. Whether you need a few credits or many, we are here to help you move forward.
ABE classes help adults improve their reading, writing, and math skills. These classes are tuition-free, have open enrollment, and are offered online. You can start when you are ready and study from anywhere.
If you do not have a high school diploma, we can help you complete it in two ways:
• Adult High School Diploma: You can earn your high school diploma by taking ABE classes. If you completed some classes in high school, you may receive credit for them and will only need to finish the remaining courses.
• GED Preparation: You can take classes to prepare for the GED test. When you pass the GED test, you will earn a high school equivalency certificate.
If you did not finish high school, come back and reach your goals. No matter where you are starting, the ABE program gives you a chance to continue your education. Take the first step today!
